Jordan's SICK!

Hi All,
Unfortunately, Jordan has been sick since yesterday. I think he is better today, time will tell. Mostly fever and a icky cough. I suppose he will survive, he always does! He just gets another day off from school, which will make the weekend not much fun. Catch up work is really not part of a good weekend.

Oh well! I suppose I too should catch up. The orders that came through over the weekend got put off yesterday due to illness. They will go out today!

Hugs!
Patty

Hi there :-)
I am in the process of finishing up the monster alien jar quilt. I took the day off work so that my mom and I could get it set up on her quilting frames and hopfuly get it tied by next week. I actualy finished the top over a year ago and was going to machine quilt it. But realised that it would be to frustrating to do it that way. I also just have a few more borders to put on my daughters quilt the fairy jar quilt. I just wanted to share with you the enjoyment i have had in making these quilts. The next one of your kits I will be ordering is the kalidascope quilt. I think it would make a great wall hanging in my new sewing room.

I am so happy you had a good time. I too HATE machine quilting. It is not too bad on a small quilt, but the bigger they are the harder it is. I discovered using polar fleece as batting works very well, especially for tying. I made Jordan a t-shirt quilt last summer and bought a polar fleece blanket for the inside and instead of tying I used star shaped buttons. (he wanted patriotic fabric)I turned out really nice. There are so many requirements on batting on how close to quilt it and with the polar fleece there is none! Happy Quilting! Patty
